The Asus ZenFone 5, released at MWC 2018, runs on the latest Snapdragon 636 mobile platform. It also includes what the company dubs the AI Boost, which also runs on the flagship unit ZenFone 5Z. This, the company claims, optimizes performance for games and other tasks.
Asus ZenFone 5: dual camera, AI enhancements
Like the ZenFone 5Z, the ZenFone 5 features a dual camera system, learning and adapting as it takes more photos. Equipped with the Sony IMX363 sensor, the ZenFone 5 camera boasts large 1.4µm pixels, and an f/1.8 wide-aperture lens. It also comes with an 120° wide-angle secondary camera, four-axis optical image stabilization (OIS). Furthermore, Asus included AI-enhanced camera features like Scene Detection for 16 different scenes and objects. Other features include AI Photo Learning, Real-time Portrait and Real-time Beautification.
