Samsung released the beta of Android Nougat for the Galaxy S7 and S7 Edge, but it seems that they’re not done yet. This time, rumors are circulating that the company is also testing Nougat for the Galaxy S6 and S6 Edge. Interestingly, a form of confirmation might exist for these rumors.
Based on benchmark results from GFXBench and Geekbench, at least one Galaxy S6 out there runs Android 7.0 Nougat. While this version will soon be the norm in the market, especially with the impending arrival of the Pixel and Pixel L, it’s certainly refreshing. Samsung right now seems to be reaching back to their flagships from last year to fully flesh out the capabilities of Nougat.
No news yet, however, about when the Nougat update hits all Samsung users. Hopes are high right now, though, for the update to bring the new Samsung Grace UX interface, as well as improvements upon TouchWiz.
