Considered as the tech-blogger icon in the Philippines, Yuga of Yugatech.com launched a new service called YugaDeals. Similar to those discount group-buying sites such as Groupon, Cash Cash Pinoy, Ensogo, etc., YugaDeals will basically have the same set-up but will focus on tech stuffs such as gadgets, appliances and digital offers.
According to a reliable source close to Yuga (me), they are still ironing things out but confirmed stuff already in the pipeline include LCD TVs, LED TVs, netbooks, desktop monitors, storage devices, tablets, networking devices, and mobile phones to name a few. How much discount are you talking about? All he said was to expect some items to reach a 50% discount.
There’s going to be one featured item per week and it must meet the number of buyers before the discount gets activated. If you’re interested, pay up front and wait, and if the deal pushes through, you get your item. If it doesn’t, you get your money back. It’s hard to put some money up front when you’re talking about buying a LED TV but Yuga has to make sure nobody’s backing out on a certain deal. You can pay via the usual channels: credit card, Paypal, bank deposit and even cash and you can choose to pick them up from the distributor or have it shipped to you.
If you want to be notified as to when the site will go live, head to YugaDeals and enter your e-mail.
