YouTube VR experience now Available on Oculus Go
YouTube VR has finally arrived on Oculus Go yesterday. After Youtube announced its plans last September, the app will be available in the Oculus Store: joining similar apps for Samsung Gear VR, Sony PlayStation VR, Google Daydream VR, and desktop VR headsets. The new app addition to the Oculus Go is great for those who are mostly leaning towards a VR experience more than a gaming experience.
YouTube is a great hub for immersive videos and brings plenty of content for Oculus Go. The Oculus Go is originally marketed for gaming but the company has found out that most consumers use the Go for casual viewing. It’s used as a movie and tv viewing device. This puts the Oculus Go at an advantage by integrating YouTube VR, which enables more users to opt for a casual viewing experience.
YouTube VR supports both 360 and Standard video for a VR theatre. It was originally only available for Google Cardboard and slowly the app is becoming a staple for VR systems across the market.
Have you tried YouTube on VR? How was your experience? Feel free to comment below, we’d love to hear all about it.
