Touted to be selfie-centered phones, Xiaomi launched the Redmi Y1 and Y1 Lite earlier this month in India. In addition to these new devices, however, Xiaomi will allegedly launch a new Xiaomi R1 series soon.
Leaks Reveal New Xiaomi R1 Series
Reports claim the new device emerged in a subway in China. Much like the Xiaomi Mi Mix 2, the new full-capacity Xiaomi R1 features extremely thin bezels and much more. As far as we know, the device commands an SRP of ¥1,499 (around Php 11,400), and many purport the smartphone to come with mid-range features. Specifics on the device internals remain unknown, but images reveal a Type 2 micro-USB port and two single-grille speakers on either side of the bottom of the phone. Besides this, Xiaomi also confirmed launching a budget phone in the Indian region come November 30.
Xiaomi Redmi Note 5 Coming Soon
On a related note, Xiaomi will soon release the Redmi Note 5, successor to its current bestselling phone, the Redmi Note 4. This will reportedly sport a 5.99-inch full HD+ 18:9, 2160 x 1080p display. In addition, the Redmi Note 5 will also feature 12MP camera and a 4,000mAh battery. As for internals, the device will run on the Qualcomm Snapdragon 625/630 series with latest Android 7.1.1 Nougat-based MIUI 9. Finally, the Redmi Note 5 will reportedly come with 64Gb of internal storage.
Touting the hashtag “DeshKaSmartphone,” the next Xiaomi entry-level device will reportedly come with a long-lasting battery.
