Xiaomi keeps breaking its own record!
The Chinese tech brand was able to ship one million units of newly-launched Mi Band 3 wristband in just 17 days. It was introduced on June 5.
Wang Xiang, Senior Vice President at Xiaomi, revealed this news on Twitter.
The fitness tracker was personally tested by Xioami’s CEO Lei Jun for about three months before launching the device in the market. He earlier said this was better than its predecessor.
The smart wearable has an elongated OLED screen, good battery capacity, which the company claimed could last for 20 days.
Xiaomi tested the rubbery strap of the device 2, 000 times to ensure that it would not be easily worn out. The Mi Band 3 also has an IP68 rating, which means it is possible to swim while wearing the device.
Its features include: a clock, a pedometer, a heart rate monitor and Bluetooth connection with a smartphone for incoming calls and apps notifications.
The device has a price tag of around $25 in the market.
