Now available through Mi.com and Amazon India, Xiaomi just released the Xiaomi Redmi 5 in India.
Xiaomi launched the Redmi 5 as a smaller variant of the Note 5 it released a month prior. Of course, in other regions, the Redmi Note 5 also carries the name Redmi 5 Plus.
Equipped with a 5.7-inch, 1440 x 720 pixel IPS LCD, the Redmi 5 boasts an 18:9 display.
The Xiaomi Redmi 5 touts a f/2.2 12 MP rear camera equipped with PDAF. It also comes with a Beauty 3.0-capable 5MP front-facing shooter. With options for either 2 or 3 GB RAM and 16 or 32 GB storage, the phone also runs on a Snapdragon 450 chip set. Moreover, it runs on Android 7.1 Nougat-built MIUI 9. Finally, the 3,300mAh battery comes built with 10W of charging.
The 2/16GB model goes on sale at 12:oo IST March 20th for INR 7999 (Php 6,418), while the 3/32Gb model for INR 8,999 (Php 7,227).
