Microsoft earlier made available the Windows 8.1 Update for download. The Windows 8.1 Update aims to bridge the gap between Windows XP / Windows 7 and Windows 8 users more specifically to provide a better user experience on the Windows 8.1 that’s familiar with users of the old versions of the Windows operating system.
A number of improvements brought along by the Windows 8.1 update include quicker access to the necessary apps and enhancements to the Internet Explorer 11.
With the Windows 8.1 update, users now have access to a Power button on the Start screen, Close and Minimize buttons on the windows and Context menus (via Right-click on the tiles). Windows 8.1 update also offers an improved Search and Internet Explorer 11. The new IE 11 now includes an Enterprise Mode where users can select the version of IE they want to use.
