Recently, there’s been talk about Microsoft planning to overhaul icon designs for the Windows 10 together with the Office Suite. The company already revealed a new set of icons for the Office 365 and has teased that they will make some changes on the overall OS interface as well. Jon Friedman, head of Office design at Microsoft, said that efforts on re-designing Office are just the beginning of a cross-company mission to create new icons for the Windows 10.
Friedman posted on his blog some concept images containing the updated icons, showing a much more modernized version of the platform. The latest version of windows still currently includes older icons alongside new ones that make it look out of place and outdated. Microsoft, as a whole, has been struggling with revamping efforts for years, and now it seems that the company finally has a single, cohesive vision for the project.
