Western Digital added a new member to their media player family, the WD Elements Play. It’s not as compact and portable as their WD TV line but this one comes with either a 1TB or 2TB of internal storage.
Aside from being a storage for your media files, the WD Elements Play also provides full HD video playback and can play a wide variety of formats including RMVBs. It’s like your typical WD TV HD but with a built-in internal hard drive.
One thing lacking is the support for network connectivity. It’s going to be a hassle to be moving this from your TV for watching and back to your PC for transferring files. Not unless you will be putting files via USB sticks. It would be great if it can connect to your home network and act as a NAS as well. Maybe that’s for an upcoming product.
SRP:
- WD Elements Play 1TB – Php7,950
- WD Elements Play 2TB – Php9,700

i’ll ask. not sure if available na dito eh.
sana nga may connectivity option! kahit WIFI lang for transferring media file back on forth to PC
mga magkano naman?
updated the post with the prices. sorry for the delay.
pano mo nalaman ung prices? alam mo ba san to nabibili dito? coz di ko mahanap sa amazon at kahit anong online store. ang weird. pati sa official online store ng WD wala rin…pero may overview lang cla. ngek.
From Western Digital’s PR agency. Try mo sa mall. SM Cyberzone maybe. or call shops at Gilmore.
can you give me a link of Elements Play with SRP price in it? Or do you know how much it costs in the US?

The WD Elemets Play will not play .wmv files.
It also will not play .flv files (D4).
m2ts files from Sony camcorder will not play in order. This is one major drawback, I noticed.
There is no facility to creat Play List.
Otherwise this Media Player is worth its price.
