Came across this in a broadsheet yesterday and while it can’t possibly be a common occurrence (at least not yet), it’s refreshing to see immediate and concrete impacts of technology on everyday lives of average people.
Like the article says, two sons, one based in the Philippines and the other in Norway, see their mom collapse in her California living room through a webcam and promptly call for local help.
Sounds like a perfect ad for an ISP, but it’s real life.
