Vivo sub-brand iQOO unveiled its first mobile device offering last March 1, 2019 in Shenzen, China. Aimed at power users and mobile game players, the Vivo iQOO smartphone comes with Qualcomm’s next-generation Snapdragon processor, up to 12GB RAM, and up to 44W Super Flash Charge capability.
Under the hood of the iQOO are monster internals, including the Qualcomm Snapdragon 855 processor, up to 12GB RAM, and up to 256GB onboard storage. The 4,000mAh battery has support for up to 44W fast-charging. According to reports, the Super Flash Charge feature juices up your phone up to 50% in 15 minutes and 85% in half an hour. To get a fully charged device, you will only need 45 minutes charging time.

Since Vivo touts the iQOO as a gaming device, this handset comes with game-centric features such as the Super Liquid Cooling through a vapor chamber. Other gaming functionalities are the AI Turbo, Center Turbo, Net Turbo, Cooling Turbo, and Game Turbo. Found in the phone’s Multi-Turbo service, these functions will boost app startup by 30%, frame rate with over 70%, and automatic switch between Wi-Fi and 4G for non-stop gaming.
Outside, you’ll find the 6.41-inch OLED display with dewdrop notch and In-Display fingerprint scanner. Housed inside the notch is the 12MP front shooter. At the back of the Vivo iQOO, you’ll find the three-camera setup. The triple camera system includes a main 12MP shooter with Dual Pixel technology. The other two rear cameras are a 13MP wide-angle lens and Sony IMX263 sensor and a 2MP Depth sensor.

Available in Electric Blue and Lava Orange, the iQOO has the following price tags: ¥2,998 (~P23,300) for the 6GB/128GB variant; ¥3,298 (~P25,600) for the 8GB/128GB model; and ¥3,598 (~P27,900) for the 8GB/256Gb configuration. If you want the top-of-the-line 12GB/256GB handset, prepare ¥4,298 (~P33,400). No word yet as to whether the Vivo iQOO will reach the Philippine shores.
