Amidst all the big announcements being made in Barcelona, Spain for this year’s Mobile World Congress, Guangdong-based company vivo Electronics Corporation posted a teaser confirming that its next flagship smartphone, the vivo Xplay 5, will the world’s first smartphone with 6GB RAM.
The company is no stranger when it comes to breakthrough devices. In fact, vivo’s previous flagship device, the Xplay3S, was the first smartphone in the world to sport a 2560 x 1440 display panel. At one point in time, the company also held the title of having the slimmest smartphone in the industry with the X3S which only measured 5.75mm on the side.
Having said this, it’s really not surprising to see vivo take on another world’s first with their next flagship handset. Other details of the vivo Xplay 5 include a ‘border-less’ curved display with 1440p resolution, and a top of the line Snapdragon 820 processor under the hood.
We’ll definitely keep an eye on this smartphone, and share more details with you guys when it becomes available.
