Endorsers are not a new thing in the world of smartphones. A lot of brands have been tapping celebrities to help endorse their products, it is an undeniable and proven formula. For example, Pia Wurtzbach for Huawei, Sarah Geronimo for Oppo, and NBA superstar Stephen Curry for Vivo. Even the local brand MyPhone has Daniel Padilla. Top local brand Cherry Mobile has a number of celebrities that are part of their family of endorsers including Kim Chiu and Xian Lim. Now, they are adding a true boss of Philippine entertainment as “Bossing” Vic Sotto joins the Cherry Mobile family.
Vic Sotto Joins the Cherry Mobile Family
In an update on their Facebook page’s cover video last Friday, Cherry Mobile announced their newest endorser. The newest addition to their family was revealed to be none other than Vic Sotto. Known for his decades of funny antics as one of the mainstays of noontime show “Eat Bulaga”, Sotto is a good addition to the brand’s list of celebrity partners.
Vic Sotto is beloved by Filipinos everywhere thanks in part to the “Sugod Bahay” segment on the noontime show. The segment paints him as a very likable and giving individual. It can be noted though, that the noontime show prominently featured a different phone brand in the past years. However, it was not something that was attributed solely to Sotto. This time however, only Sotto is seen in the video. The video also dubbed as the new face of the brand.
Cherry Mobile is one of the country’s most prominent brands and has released some great smartphones. Known for bringing quality specs at affordable prices the brand has a good list of well-received smartphones. We have covered a number of those phones on this site like the Cubix 3 and the Flare X2. The team up between Cherry and Sotto is interesting, to say the least. And it is more interesting to see the kind of commercials they might come up with. You can check the video here.
