Unioil Petroleum Philippines Inc. (Unioil) recently unveiled its first electric vehicle (EV) charging station on its Unioil Solar Hybrid service station.
Located at Congressional Avenue Extension, Quezon City, this state of the art facility allows for plug-in refuels for electric cars. In fact, they demonstrated this by showcasing the Mitsubishi i_miEV and the Mitsubishi Outlander Plug-In Hybrid Electric. During the ribbon-cutting, Unioil VP Noel Soriano, and Mitsubishi PH exec Renato Lampano showed their pride in taking part of the historic event.
Unioil’s ‘Doing Our Part’ campaign started this November 2017, and includes the EV charging station event. In fact, the whole campaign aims to encourage Filipinos to move towards cleaner fuel and making an environmental difference. Additionally, Unioil also introduced a complete line of Euro 5 performance fuels. This means that Unioil becomes the first petroleum company to upgrade all its fuel products to the Euro 5 standard.
All in all, Unioil wants to reduce their overall carbon footprint, while making their technology much more efficient. For more info on the Unioil ‘Doing Our Part’ campaign, visit the official Unioil website.
