We just got Samsung’s cheapest Android smartphone here for review. The Galaxy 5 i5503 is like a Corby on steroids with its rich suit of features thanks to the Android 2.1 (Eclair) OS.
Let me play around with it for a bit before I give an adequate review. In the meantime, here are some unboxing shots of the Samsung Galaxy 5 for you to look at.
Here are the contents. The USB charger, a USB cable, earphones, Samsung Kies CD and manuals and the phone itself.
Here’s a look of the front and back of the phone on its smudgy, fingerprint-magnet, glossy finish.
The back panel can be removed without any problems. It comes with a 1200mAh Li-On battery.
On the side is the microSD slot. You have to open the back casing to access this slot but at least you don’t need to take off the battery. There’s a 2GB microSD card included with every purchase by the way.
There you have it. Expect a review of this handy little smartphone soon. Here’s a parting shot of the Galaxy 5.
