We might see Motorola jump on the QHD bandwagon this year as two flagship devices leak sporting Quad-HD resolution screen displays, and two of Qualcomm’s top-tier SoCs. These two devices, according to reddit user AndroidLeaks, are currently being tested in Chicago, a sign that it may be launched in the near future.
One of those devices, modeled with the number Moto XT1578 and is codenamed Clark. It sports a 5.25-inch QHD display, amounting to a resolution of a whopping 560ppi. It’s said to be built with the hexa-core Snapdragon 808 chipset and offers NFC along with Android 5.1.1 Lollipop.
Another device with the model number Moto XT1585 and codenamed Kinzie, on the other hand, has a 4.6-inch QHD panel, enabling it to achieve a higher pixel density of 640ppi. It also runs on Android Lollipop, albeit using a much higher octa-core Qualcomm Snapdragon 810 chip.
Shall we see Motorola offer its next flagship in two sizes like the trend we see on other brands nowadays? We’ll see more of that, and we’ll keep you posted.
