As Lenovo intensifies its retail foothold in the local market, the company today announced the opening of two Lenovo Exclusive Stores (LES) in strategic areas within and outside Metro Manila.
The inauguration, which also took place today at the newest LES located in SM City Calamba, marks Lenovo’s first concept store in the Southern Tagalog region and twelfth in the Philippines. Lenovo also recently launched an LES in “œ1st in Gilmore”, allowing technology enthusiasts from nearby cities to enjoy a more convenient one-stop shopping experience closer to homes.
Vicky Agorrilla, Country General Manager, Lenovo Philippines said: “œOur back-to-back store openings shows the strong commitment we have for the Philippine market. The Philippines has a lower personal computer (PC) penetration rate than most countries in the Asia-Pacific region, and possesses huge growth potential. To seize this opportunity, we will continue to implement our retail strategy by growing our Lenovo Exclusive Stores and Think Exclusive Stores as we bring our exceptionally engineered PCs closer to our customers.”
LES are dedicated concept stores that are designed to be a convenient, one-stop shop that lets customers see, touch, feel and experience a wide range of Lenovo products. From the IdeaPad and IdeaCentre line of PCs for consumers, to the ThinkPad laptops and ThinkCentre desktops targeted at small to medium businesses (SMBs), there most concept stores, including the LES at SM Calamba, also act as Lenovo’s authorized service centers offering PC diagnosis and repair services for Lenovo products. Consumers also get to enjoy exclusive sales and bundle promotions for Lenovo computer accessories such as speakers, mouse and laptop carrying cases are also sold at various LES.
The LES in SM City Calamba is located on the second level, Cyberzone along National Highway, Barangay Real, Calamba City. It is operated by Silicon Valley Computer Center, one of Lenovo’s retail partners in the Philippines, who also manages Lenovo’s concept stores at Robinsons Ermita and Digital Alley.
The LES in “œ1st in Gilmore” is managed by PC Gilmore, another local retail partner of Lenovo. The store is located on the second level of the newly inaugurated “œ1st in Gilmore” at 1st Street corner Gilmore Avenue, Quezon City. Gilmore Avenue is known for being one of the main shopping centers for computers in Manila.
Lenovo launched its first concept store in the Philippines in 2007 and to date, it has 12 LES located in major shopping malls to serve its growing customers nationwide. Other LES are located at SM Mall of Asia (Lenovo’s first in the Philippines), SM Megamall, SM Marikina, SM North, SM Cebu (its first in the Visayas region), Robinsons Ermita, SM Cubao, Festival Mall and Digital Alley Greenbelt 2, Makati. The first Think Exclusive Store is located at the Digital Alley, Greenbelt 2.
