Mobile phones nowadays are just as powerful as their PC counterparts when it comes to editing. Many applications out there fit many different audiences for their specific editing workflow. Here are the top 5 recommended applications for editing, guaranteed tried and tested.
#5 VSCO
One can’t forget VSCO. This application is a staple for many and it’s easy to see why. The filters are classic and easy to use. While the app can also be used to organize your Instagram feed. You can preview your photos and see if the theme is cohesive with your current photos and chosen filters. There are paid filters also available for PHP 110+.
#4 Facetune
Facetune is a staple for Instagram influencers. I personally enjoy the app myself for both selfies and editing my drawings. For portraits, you may opt to add more details to specific parts of your face such as the eyes and hair. You can also blur out blemishes and pores with just the swipe of your finger. For objects that look off proportionally, there’s an option to liquify parts of the photo to make it look proportionate. Facetune costs around PHP 199 on iOS and PHP 314 on Android.
#3 Snapseed
Another application perfect for photography is Snapseed. The interface has more options in Lightroom which makes it a bit more complicated to use but definitely an app you shouldn’t ignore. Combined with Lightroom you can do some great glamour portraits with the healing brush available on the app. You can also select specific areas of the photo to edit. Definitely one of the most powerful.
#2 Adobe Photoshop Lightroom Mobile
Lightroom mobile is the perfect application for photographers on the go. Most cameras nowadays have wifi and NFC capabilities for easy transfer of photos. Similar to the computer version of the app, you can create albums by date and your own post-processing presets. I highly recommend these for on the go photography.
#1 PicsArt
This application is a personal favorite of mine because of the easy to use UI and similarities to Adobe Photoshop. You can do everything here, from creating stickers to adding filters. You can also add lettering and special effects to your photo.
All these applications are both available on both iOS and Android. Take note that these applications can be used together to get the best results. Depending on you, you may opt to stick to one or try everything out depending on the effect and quality you want. These apps are also available on tablets so you can work on a bigger workspace.
