Apple unveiled the 2015 version of its popular Macbook at its press conference earlier today.
At 13.1mm and two pounds, it takes the crown away from the Macbook Air to be the Cupertino giant’s thinnest and lightest laptop. It is powered by a power-efficient Intel Core M processor, 8GB of RAM, a 12-inch screen with a retina 2,304×1,440 pixels display resolution, a new butterfly keyboard mechanism, and a built-in battery that can last up to 10 hours.
One of the newest additions to hit the new laptop is a feature in the trackpad called Force Click, a software-assisted pressure sensitive trackpads that would give a virtual click feel with the aid of four sensors placed around.
The Macbook’s newfound dimensions and weight held a significant compromise ““ all of the existing ports were now unified onto a single USB-C drive, and will require you to buy a new adapter that will be on sale for $79 or Php 3,500.
The new Apple Macbook will be available in three different colors: Space Gray, Silver, and Gold, and will retail in the country starting at Php 69,990 for the 256GB internal storage version.
