Gaming has been on steady climb for the past number of years now. Video games have been getting more and more attention in the mainstream press. From e-sports to gaming conventions, the world of gaming keeps on growing. The quality of graphics also has been a steady improvement of quality. Better graphics of course need better monitors to not only handle gaming visuals but also provide an immersive experience. Here are the New ROG gaming monitors unveiled at Computex 2017.
New ROG gaming monitors- ROG Swift PG35VQ
This is a jam packed monitor. On the outside it is a 35 inch, ultra wide, QHD (3440×1440) monitor. That alone makes this device stand out. On the inside it has more though; Quantum dots, HDR, and G-Sync up to 200Hz. The big screen has a 21:9 aspect ration to really make it immersive. This engages the users peripheral vision without a VR headset. ROG also added Aura Sync RGB lighting for a complete desktop experience.
New Additions to the Strix Monitors
FreeSync, otherwise known as Adaptive-Sync is now part of the of the ROG monitor line. The biggest at 31.5 inches, the XG32VQ has its panel span across the 1800R curve. At 2560×1440, it also has the highest resolution. On top of that, it has a refresh rate scale of up to 144Hz. The smaller XG27VQ shares the same max refresh rate but the resolution is at 1920×1080. The fastest of the three is the flat 25-inch 1080p panel,the XG258Q. This device has a really high 240Hz refresh rate. All three have the Aura RGB lighting. Also, the XG32VQ can synchronize colors and effects with Aura Sync-compatible hardware.
