Cherry Mobile has been trying to get into the dual camera trend and the Flare P1 was the first I saw of this. We gave you a sneak peek of the phone in our unboxing article and now we look at the P1 Plus. The Cherry Mobile P1 Plus, as the name implies is an upgraded version of the P1. With a better look right out of the box this our Cherry Mobile P1 Plus unboxing and first impressions.
Cherry Mobile Flare P1 Plus Unboxing
From the box we get the unit, an in-ear headset, a travel charger, a USB cable, and SIM ejector. The 5.5 inch FHD display is an upgrade from the P1, the screen resolution goes up from 1280x720p HD to 1920x1080p FHD. The screen also comes pre-fitted with a screen protector that doesn’t cover the whole of it due to the curved design. The back of the phone looks much better than the P1 however, thanks to the aluminum finish. The back of the phone has the 13MP and 5MP dual camera set-up with an LED flash. Another key feature of the device is the fingerprint sensor, placed at the upper portion of the back.
The front of the phone has 3 capacitive buttons under the display and above it the the 8MP camera with flash. Around the device are the power button and SIM tray on the right and the volume control on the left. The USB port is at the bottom of he phone in the middle of the loud speakers, and the top has the audio jack.
Under the hood the phone has a 1.5GHz quadcore CPU matched with 2GB of RAM. This is an upgrade from the 1.3GHz processor and 1GB RAM combo of the P1. It has the same storage as the P1 however at 16GB that expands up to 64GB. The P1 Plus also has an improved battery battery at 3,000 mAh and LTE connectivity.
Cherry Mobile Flare P1 Plus First Impression
Specs wise, the P1 Plus looks much better than the P1. Physically, it looks more sophisticated, thanks to the back panel. On it’s own, it is a capable device able to handle most day to day mobile activities. The response on this phone is good and the display does not strain the eyes. Also, the finger print scanner was easy to set up. The true question for this phone however, is the cameras performance. Will the dual camera set up prove its worth on this phone or will it fall to the usual problems of cameras at this price point?
As a whole though, I like this phone so far because compared to it’s predecessor it shows significant improvement. Still we will give the verdict once we have done the complete Cherry Mobile Flare P1 Plus Review.
