Today we are unboxing the Starmobile Play Click
As I took the phone out of the box I can see that it looks solid. Although the phone may not look impressive, it feels great to hold. At 120 grams the unit is light but it sure does not look like it. The corners are not as rounded compared to other phones and the color combination looks reliable but heavy. However once you have it in your hands it does give a smoother feel.
The 4.5 inch display has a 480 x 854 resolution which is decent for an entry level unit. The display is just just right and it doesn’t hurt to look at it for an extended period, which is the case with other phones. The icons are also a bit bigger compared to other phones which makes it easier to see the apps I want to use. On the inside the phone has a 1.2 GHz Quad core processor and 512mb RAM. It also runs on the Android 5.1 Lollipop for a smooth user interface.
The Play Click has a 2MP Front camera with a rear camera that is at 5MP with a flash. The phone is a dual sim unit (micro and regular), with a micro SD card slot that can hold up to 32GB. The battery is a 1650 mAh li-on battery which is removable. On the phone itself, the volume control and power buttons are on the right side.
The phone comes with a micro USB cable, a travel charger and a 3.5mm headset. A standard fare for most phones at this price point.
Overall, the Starmobile Play Click makes a decent first impression. Priced at 1,288 pesos it makes a good entry level smartphone. For a more in depth look at this device, tune in for our full review coming soon.
