Sony Philippines recently announced the availability of their latest mid-range phone, the NFC-powered Xperia M which retails for just Php10,490.
The Xperia M follows the beautiful Sony OmniBalance design but of course with less-expensive materials. It does have that premium glass screen and the aluminum power button which will make you think the other buttons and strips on the side are also made of aluminum.
Perhaps the selling part of this phone is the inclusion of NFC on a sub-11k device which allows you to easily communicate with various NFC accessories Sony is also marketing such as headsets, speakers, and a companion handset, and also with other NFC phones.
With the Xperia M, you’ll get a 4-inch display along with a 1GHz dual-core Qualcomm Snapdragon S4 processor with 1GB RAM and 4GB internal storage. There’s a 5-megapixel camera at the back capable of HD video recording and a measly VGA camera up front. The battery is rated at 1,750mAh.
The Sony Xperia M will be avialable in the market for Php10,490 starting next month. If you want a dual-SIM version of this phone, the Xperia M dual will be coming out this October for Php10,990.
