SONY yesterday unveiled two of its latest cameras including the SONY RX100 III.
SONY RX100 III (DSC-RX100M3)
The third version of its much-admired digital camera line, the SONY RX100 III brings an updated lens, improved image processor and a retractable viewfinder with a 180 degree tilting LCD.
The aluminum-bodied, fixed-lens digital camera now uses a 24-70mm F1.8-2.8 ZEISS Vario-Sonnar T lens perfect for taking sharp photos from landscape to portraits with nice bokeh. The SONY RX100 III has a built-in 3-stop (1/8) Neutral Density filter for taking long exposure shots. It features a high-contrast retractable OLED Tru-Finder with ZEISS T coating which reduces reflections as well an eye sensor that automatically switches between viewfinder and monitor display.
Under the hood, the SONY RX100 III has a 201.1 megapixel 1.0-type back-illuminated Exmor R CMOS image sensor, larger than most compact cameras. It also uses SONY’s latest generation BIONZ X processing engine three times faster than its predecessor. The RX100 III now supports XAVC S format and can record HD videos at 100 fps. Morevover, its dual video recording feature simultaneously stores MP4 format files alongside AVCHD /XAVC S files. An Intelligent Active Mode helps minimize camera shakes.
Selfie fans will surely love the SONY RX100 III’s articulated 3.0-type Xtra Fine LCD can also now flip up 180 degrees. Same to the previous model, its integrated NFC/WiFi connectivity allows quick transfer, share and posting of photos online and on social media.
The SONY RX100 III has an SRP of Php 44,999 (with free 16GB memory card).
