Sony Mobile Announces the Sony Xperia XZ and Xperia X Compact

Two new members join Sony Mobile’s X series of smartphones after today’s announcement in Berlin. The flagship Sony Xperia XZ and the premium Xperia X Compact are intelligent devices that offer an immersive experience.

Sony Xperia XZ

The Sony Xperia XZ, and premium Xperia X Compact introduce new camera technology for even better pictures captured by an Xperia machine. Sony built these cameras with their heritage in camera technology and in collaboration with the best digital imaging engineers. Furthermore, the XZ and X Compact feature some of the most advanced cameras in a smartphone.

The 23-megapixel main camera present in both models not only take clear photos, but also extremely fast start-ups, going from standby to capture in less than a second. The XZ and X Compact are also notable for their unified design with a looped surface that fits comfortably in any hand, and designs that allow the phones to learn and adapt to personal usage habits.  It is truly a phone for everyone as it offers customizable experiences that bend to the user’s lifestyle.

In terms of specs, the Xperia XZ runs on a Qualcomm Snapdragon 820 processor for seamless loading times on any app. The Snapdragon 820 comes with the X12 LTE that just screams efficiency and optimum performance. For the Xperia X Compact, a Qualcomm Snapdragon 650 is enough to deliver a solid Sony experience.

Sony also explores innovations in communication with their upcoming and new accessories. The Xperia Ear, Sony’s in-ear and hands-free Smart Product brings a new way of communicating. It will be available for purchsase starting in November. Besides the Xperia Ear, Sony will also display the Xperia Projector and Xperia Agent as concepts that make the future of Sony’s Smart Products look bright and promising.

The Xperia XZ will launch globally on October 2016, while the Xperia X Compact will launch globally on September 2016. Additionally, the Sony Xperia XZ will be available in both Single SIM and Dual SIM variants.
