Pokemon Go has yet to receive an official release in the country. In the meantime, Smart Communications has announced that they’ll give subscribers seven days of free data access upon the launch of the global gaming phenomenon in the country. This offer will be available for both iOS and Android.
Gotta Catch Them All, Pinoy-Style
Pokemon Go is an augmented reality game developed by Niantic Labs. The brand it comes from, Pokemon, is a legendary video game series developed by Nintendo and The Pokemon Company. It launched in select countries on July 6. After that, it has now become available in over thirty countries.
Locally, gamers and Pokemon fans alike are still waiting for the official release here. However, Smart and TNT subscribers have the edge once it does. Using Smart’s Google Direct Carrier Billing for Android, Pokemon Go’s in-app purchases can be made without a credit card. Instead, the charges will be directed to their prepaid load or postpaid account.
On the other hand, Smart Postpaid subscribers on iOS can also conveniently buy Pokecoinshrough their monthly billing. This is made possible through Smart’s Pay-With-Mobile service.
Be sure to catch ’em all (updates on Pokemon GO, we mean) by following Smart’s official accounts on Facebook, Snapchat (LiveSmartPH), Twitter and Instagram (@LiveSmart).
