Smart Communications, Inc. teams up with Moonton to bring to Filipino gamers and fans the latest season of Mobile Legends: Bang Bang Professional League (MPL). Now on its sixth season, this year’s MPL will run every weekend from August 21 to October 18, 2020.
Ten teams are playing in the Mobile Legends: Bang Bang Professional League Season 6. The lineup includes Aura-PH, Onic-PH, BREN Esports, Execration, and The Smart Omega Team. The Blacklist International, BSB, Blu Fire Cignal Ultra, and NXP Solid are also part of the tournament. The teams will battle each other for a prize pool worth over P6 million in cash and freebies.
Smart subscribers can watch the regular season of the mobile e-sports league on the Smart Facebook page, where they can get the chance to win exciting prizes. Subscribers can also expect Mobile Legends updates and freebies throughout the season.
Prior to this season, Smart also powered the MPL Season 5 and MPL Champs Invitational. The company’s support for the esports community recognizes how Mobile Legends and other games keep Filipinos connected during the pandemic.

Ookla, recently named Smart as the country’s fastest mobile data network in the first half of 2020. Smart achieved a Speed Score of 18.33, with average speeds of 15.94 Mbps for download and 7.57 Mbps for upload. The result is based on 2,810,963 user-initiated tests taken with Speedtest.
Meanwhile, Opensignal shared its April 2020 Mobile Network Experience Report for the Philippines. In the report, Smart remained ahead of the competition in terms of Games Experience, Video Experience, Upload and Download Speed Experience, Voice App Experience, and 4G Availability.
