Seagate launched a new storage solution called Innov8. It’s an external hard drive with a whopping 8 terrabytes of storage space and runs completely on the power supplied to its USB C port, thus by-passes the need for a dedicated power source.
Unlike the Seagate Seven which prides itself in its thin and svelte design, the new Seagate Innov8 is by no means small, let alone thin. But despite that, it still managed to snatch the 2016 Red Dot Design award, which is a testament to Seagate’s design ingenuity.
With an award winning design, a hard drive space that can house the entire library of a typical desktop computer, and the perks of having USB Type C, the new Seagate Innov8 seems like a keeper for those who are looking for the best external storage solution.
The new Seagate Innov8 is expected to make its market debut this month, and will be retailed for $349.
