Remember that 200GB microSD card released back in March? Along with the three mobile memory solutions announced yesterday, SanDisk has also revealed that the ‘world’s highest-capacity microSD card’ will soon land in the Philippine shores.
The 200GB SanDisk Ultra microSDXC UHS-I Premium Edition card, first introduced at the Mobile World Congress, has a 56% increased storage capacity within the same fingernail-sized form factor from last year’s 128GB microSD card. It has fast transfer speeds of up to 90MB/s, touting premium performance delivery such as moving up to 1,200 photos per minute. The microSD card also features a ten-year warranty, and is said to be compatible with any smartphone or tablet device that supports at least 64GB of microSD card capacity.
While it is expected to land in Q3 2015, no local pricing has been made yet. We can expect Sandisk’s 200GB microSD card to land more less the same price we have seen it in international markets ($399 or around Php 17,800), as per our talks with key company officials during the launch.
