USB Type-C is slowly becoming a staple on new mobile devices like smartphones, tablets, and hybrids. As such, it’s only logical for SanDisk to come up with a handy storage solution that’s compatible with the new USB standard.
That’s exactly what SanDisk did when it launched its first mobile flash drives for USB Type-C devices. The new flash drive’s unassuming and retractable design is a familiar sight for long-time SanDisk users, but instead of a full-sized USB or MicroUSB connector, the new models has a reversible USB C connector.
SanDisk new USB Type-C Flash Drives are offered in a variety of capacities of 16GB, 32GB, 64GB and 128GB and are currently being retailed for $19.99, $29.99, $49.99 and $79.99 respectively. According to SanDisk, these drives are capable of delivering USB 3.1 throughput of up to 150MB/s.
