Soon, iOS device users will be able to play iTunes Movies and TV Shows on their Samsung Smart TVs. Apple users will also get AirPlay 2 support on their Samsung televisions soon.
These new features will be available out of the box on the 2019 Samsung Smart TV models. Meanwhile, the company’s 2018 TV lineup will get the new features through a firmware update Samsung will roll out soon. The list units to access this feature include OLED 4K and 8K TVs, The Frame and Serif Lifestyle TVs, as well as other Samsung UHD and HD models.
The new iTunes Movies and TV Shows app on Samsung Smart TVs will allow customers to access existing iTunes library. Users can browse the iTunes Store to buy or rent from a selection of hundreds of thousands of movies and TV series. This feature will also work seamlessly with other Samsung Smart TV services such as Universal Guide, Bixby, and more.
On the other hand, AirPlay 2 support gives customers a way to play videos, photos, music, and more from their Apple devices to Samsung TVs.
