Samsung seems to already be gearing for their future products, thanks to a Samsung patent that recently surfaced. From the look of things, it may lead towards the very first truly bezel-less device.
The Korean manufacturer’s plans show a front facing camera placed just underneath the display. Actually, everything about the phone goes under the display, including all sensors and an earpiece. Unfortunately, we don’t know how this will exaclty work, or if Samsung already developed the tech for this. However, we do know that they’ve made some advancements in transparent OLED technology.
Of course, as a patent, there’s always a chance that this will be discarded. But, should this become successful, Samsung will likely lead the way towards a future with no bezels. For now, we at least know that the big tech brands are looking into it.
