Samsung teased us with the Samsung GamePad for smartphone last month and the South Korean tech giant has just launched the Smartphone GamePad in South Korea.
The Smartphone GamePad transforms your Galaxy smartphone or tablet into a gaming console. It also allows you to connect your smartphone to your TV via HDMI cable or via AllShare Screen mirroring.
The Samsung Smartphone GamePad supports Galaxy mobile devices whose screen sizes ranges from 4 to 6.3 inches, including the Samsung Galaxy Note 3, S4 and SIII. The Smartphone GamePad connects to your mobile device via Bluetooth but takes advantage of the NFC capabilities of Samsung Galaxy smartphones running on Android 4.3 Jelly Bean OS.
Some titles available for the Samsung Smartphone Gamepad includes EA’s Need for Speed Most Wanted, Gameloft’s Asphalt8 : Airborne, Gameloft’s Modern Combat 4 : Zero Hour, SEGA’s Virtual Tennis Challenge and Ubisoft’s Prince of Persia : The Shadow and the Flame.
The Samsung Smartphone GamePad sells for 85,000 won in Korea, that’s around Php 3,600.
