I know a lot of people are waiting for the upgrade of the first Samsung Galaxy Tab 7 P1000, the Galaxy Tab 7.0 Plus (model no. P6200), and we got word straight from Samsung Philippines that it will arrive on the 18th with a retail price of Php23,990.
We were told that the Samsung Galaxy Tab 7.0 will be available exclusively at Samsung Mobile Shops and when you buy one on the 18th, you will have a chance to win as much as Php12,000 discount on your purchase.
The Samsung Galaxy Tab 7.0 Plus has the same 7-inch screen, 1024 x 600 resolution as that of the first Galaxy Tab but with an SLCD display. It’s also slightly smaller, slimmer, lighter and packs a 1.2 Ghz dual-core processor running on Android 3.2 Honeycomb. It also supports HSPA+ by the way and the price listed is for the 16GB version.
We’ll keep you posted on details on how to get that P12k discount when we hear back from Samsung.

Another false marketing strategy of Samsung philipines.
If they want to give a big give away promo on the launching day of Samsung Galaxy 7′ plus. They have atleast give a 10K discount for the first 20 customers who will go to a Samsung Shop on Dec 18, 2011 and not do a raffle anymore.

-With a price of 23,990 i’ll rather just buy an Apple Ipad 2 16GB Wifi w/c is more cheaper nowadays with a price tag of 21,000 for cash and 22,990 for 12months installment

FYI ! Honeycomb is really for tablets ! but ICS ? idts ! its for smartphones only ! honeycombs interface is very much like the ICS for phones ! don’t wait it ! :DDD just find Honeycomb !
I have no idea where your information comes from. It’s inaccurate to say the least. Ice cream sandwich (aka ICS) is meant for both tablets and smartphones. It was meant to make the development of apps easier by making them compatible with both.

does anybody know if the 7+ is capable of video out? At…kung anong video connection ang compatible? The P1000 only uses 30-pin to RCA and the 10.1/8.9 use are only compatible with 30-pin to HDMI. Anybody tried with the 7+? Thanks!
Php 24,000 for a $400 tablet? Wow, how much taxes do you people have to pay for imported goods?!! This pricing is just plain ridiculous seeing that the Philippines is located near the manufacturing centers of Asia. I can get this at almost the same sticker price as the ones at Amazon if I buy it in Singapore. Sucks to be here…
the $400 price tag in the US is for the 16GB Wifi only version. the one being sold here in the Philippines has both 3G+Wifi which sort of explains the price difference.
