It seems that the next hottest smartphone is the Samsung Galaxy Note 2, or the giant offspring of the Galaxy S3 and the first Galaxy Note as both Globe and Smart are already offering it for pre-order to interested subscribers.
The Samsung Galaxy Note 2 is an Android tablet/phone having a whopping 5.55″ Super AMOLED HD Display and runs on the latest Android 4.1 Jelly Bean OS. It may look like an oversized Galaxy S3 but you’ll also get the S-Pen and stylus functionality of the first Galaxy Note.
Smart is accepting pre-orders for the Galaxy Note 2 which is free on their Unli Data Plan 2000. Smart’s Plan 2000 gives you 200 free texts and 150 minutes worth of free calls aside from unlimited mobile internet.
Globe on the other hand offers the Galaxy Note 2 for free starting on their Plan 2499 which includes unlimited mobile surfing, P1,500 consumable and choice of 5 freebie combinations:
- Free 10-min. calls and 200 SMS to Globe/TM
- Free 5-min. calls and 24 SMS to other networks
- Free 200-min. IDD and 10 iSMS to 10 destinations
- Free unli calls and SMS to one Globe/TM number
To spice things up, Globe is also offering 2 free David Guetta concert tickets to the first 20 subscribers availing of the Galaxy Note (by October 7).
If Globe’s Plan 2499 is too much for you, they’re also offering it on their lower-tiered plans (above) with a one-time cashout for the phone.
The Samsung Galaxy Note 2 is expected to be launched by the end of the month. Globe is planning to release the pre-ordered units by October 17. Units are already available in the grey market though for around P31,000.
