Samsung has finally taken the wraps off of its latest smartphones: the Galaxy Note 10 Series. First on the series is the Samsung Galaxy Note 10, which boasts a massive 8GB RAM and a whopping 256GB internal storage. In addition, the Galaxy Note 10 also comes with an improved S Pen, Infinity-O display, and triple pro-grade rear cameras.
Highlight features
The Galaxy Note 10 is the smaller sibling in the new Galaxy Note series. Sporting an edge-to-edge 6.3-inch Cinematic Infinity-O Display, the Samsung Galaxy Note 10 entices users who want to utilize the power of the S Pen and ultimate productivity in a compact form factor. The almost bezel-less screen has a tiny round in-display cut out at the top center that houses the front camera. Samsung used a Dynamic AMOLED panel for the display–equipped with HDR10+ certification and Dynamic Tone Mapping. The screen offers a Full HD+ resolution at 2280 x 1080 pixels and pixel density of 401ppi.
Under the hood, this new Galaxy phone comes powered by a 7nm 64-bit octa-core Exynos 9825 processor (maximum 2.7GHz + 2.4GHz + 1.9GHz). The huge 8GB RAM takes care of your computing needs. Meanwhile, the 256GB built-in storage makes sure that you have enough space for all your files, photos, videos, and apps. Unfortunately, there is no option to expand the memory via microSD. Out of the box, this device already runs Android 9 Pie.
The Galaxy Note 10 comes with 3500mAh battery with up to 45W Super Fast wired charging capabilities. This handset also has Wireless PowerShare, so you can recharge other Qi-enabled device using the Galaxy Note 10.
Functions for creators
One of the improved features on the new Note smartphone is the enhanced S Pen that comes with it. Samsung’s Bluetooth Low Energy enabled stylus comes with new functionalities such as converting handwriting to text and controlling the phone using gestures with the S Pen.
The Samsung Galaxy Note 10 improves on the camera. This device arrives with a pro-grade triple rear camera setup, which includes: a 16MP Ultra Wide lens with F2.2 aperture; a 12MP wide-angle sensor with F1.5/F2.4 aperture, auto focus, and optical image stabilizer; and a 12MP telephoto lens with optical image stabilizer. In front is a 10-megapixel front camera with auto focus and F2.2 aperture. Some of the nifty camera features that creators can take advantage of are the: Live Focus video, which adds depth-of-field adjustments on your recordings; Zoom-In Mic, which can amplify the audio in frame and tune out background noise; Super Steady to stabilize your footage; and Video Editor, which now utilizes the S Pen for editing.
Samsung also extends the capabilities of the Galaxy Note 10 through its compatibility with the Samsung DeX, which allows users to work between their Note 10 and a computer. The new Galaxy Note 10 also integrates Link to Windows directly into the Quick Panel; users can connect to their Windows 10 PC with just one click. Speaking of connectivity, this handset offers LTE, Wi-Fi 802.11 a/b/g/n/ac/ax, and Bluetooth v5.0 connectivity. For security, this phone comes with an in-display fingerprint sensor and face unlock, on top of the usual PIN, pattern, and password options.
