The latest budget friendly device from tech giant Samsung, the Galaxy J2 Prime is an LTE capable device among other things. Priced at Php 5,990 this phone is easy on the wallet, but does it prove its worth? Here’s out initial review of the Samsung Galaxy J2 Prime.
What I really like is how smooth the overall first experience is. The Samsung Galaxy J2 prime has a textured cover but it’s one of the smoothest phones I have ever held. Around the body it is simple, but it is also really light. Not to mention how responsive it is. Running on the Android 6.0 Marshmallow, the interface is simple and easy to understand.
With its 5 inch display, textured back cover, and metallic finished poly-carbonate body, the phone looks simple but still classy. The TFT qHD 5 inch display has 960 x 540 resolution. Also, it has wide viewing angles making it good for media consumption.
On the topic of looks, the cameras of the Galaxy J2 Prime are both equipped with flash. That means users have one less thing to worry about with night time adventures. Night selfies won’t be too dark anymore. Users can now switch in and out of camera modes through just swiping which makes for faster memory captures.
However, there is more to the Samsung Galaxy J2 Prime than just looks. For its price, it does have a 1.5 GHz quadcore CPU. A system memory of 1.5GB RAM has multitasking covered. Also, the 8GB ROM is expandable to upto 256GB through a dedicated Micro SD slot.
There is a lot more to get into with this phone which we’ll discuss on our full review, so stay tuned.
