Samsung Galaxy J2 (2018) Specs and Pricing Leaked Ahead of Launch

Long before the official product launch, the Samsung Galaxy J2 (2018) has already appeared in an online e-commerce firm listing. Not only does the website reveal the product’s price, it also lists the device’s key features.

Galaxy J2 (2018) Features

The Galaxy J2 (2018) will allegedly come with a 5.0-inch super AMOLED 590 x 940p display, as seen in the Russian e-commerce website BeCompact.

Powered with a Qualcomm Snapdragon (MSM8917) quad-core CPU, the Samsung Galaxy J2 (2018) also comes with 1.5Gb RAM. In addition, it features 16Gb internal storage expandable at up to 256Gb via microSD.

The Galaxy J2 (2018) touts an 8MP rear camera with LED flash, and a 5MP front-facing camera. It also comes with a 2,600mAh battery.

Pricing and Availability

In terms of pricing, the Galaxy J2 (2018) costs RR 7,990 (approximately Php 6,945.22).

Especially in emerging markets like India, the Galaxy J2 (2018) would gain traction among consumers, should the leaked price and specifications be true. In fact, it could rival brands like Xiaomi, Lenovo, and Honor, which to date more closely compete with Samsung’s stronghold of the Android user base.

Samsung Galaxy A8 (2018) Set to Launch Next Year

Relatedly, Samsung plans on releasing the recently launched Galaxy A8 (2018) series first week of January. Sales will begin in Vietnam, and later in the same month will expand to other regions.

The new Galaxy A8 series touts three key features, much like that of the Galaxy S8 and Note8 flagship devices. It will apparently come with the Infinity display, which promises to deliver more immersive media viewing experiences. In addition, the new A8 will also feature fast-charging capabilities and Bluetooth 5.0, allowing users to control two different speakers simultaneously. The latest Bluetooth standard also allows wider data transfers for up to 800 meters for up to 2Mbps transfer speeds.
