Samsung has unveiled its most affordable smartphone to date yet: the Galaxy A01 Core. Priced at only P3,990, the Samsung Galaxy A01 Core brings useful features such as a big HD+ display, long-lasting battery, and expandable storage at a budget-friendly price.
Let’s take a closer look at this entry-level and very affordable smartphone from Samsung. Read on.
Design & Construction
The Galaxy A01 Core flaunts a slim body at only 8.6mm-thick. It catches eyes with its stripe design on the outside; the lines give the illusion of a textured back. A Samsung logo sits at the bottom part of the rear. Meanwhile, the rear camera and flash are positioned at the upper left corner of the back. Users can choose between the Black or Red colorways to match your style.
The front showcases the display, with thick bezels at the top and bottom. The side bezels are minimal. All the buttons (volume rocker and power key) sit on the right side of the device.
Display & Multimedia
Samsung’s new entry-level device arrives with a large and wide 5.3-inch HD+ display. It uses a PLS TFT LCD with 1480 x 720px resolution. Users can enjoy any content in an immersive screen.
To maximize the experience on the big display, this Samsung phone runs on Android Go edition software. It is based on the latest Android 10 operating system. Users can enjoy the complete Google experience optimized for this device.
Samsung also gives you peace of mind by equipping the Galaxy A01 Core with interactive diagnostics and optimization via the Samsung Members app.
Camera
Want to snap stunning photos? The Samsung Galaxy A01 Core sports a bright 8-megapixel rear camera with F2.2 aperture. It allows users to capture clear, beautiful photos of special moments in their lives. Plus, it features autofocus and up to 4 times digital zoom.
Flip to the front and the 5-megapixel shooter puts the focus on the user. The selfie snapper comes with an F2.4 aperture. It captures decent pictures that anyone can share on social media for friends and family to see.
The cameras are capable of recording videos up to Full HD resolution. That’s a maximum of 1920 x 1080px at 30fps.

For computing power, the Galaxy A01 Core comes equipped with a 1GB of RAM and 16GB of internal storage. The latter is still expandable via microSD (dedicated slot) up to a whopping 512GB. It has a 1.5GHz quad-core processor for all the tasks and programs user needs to execute in their device.
Powering this phone is a 3000mAh typical battery. This large capacity batt lets users play longer and execute other tasks on the device.
