Angry Birds. They’re still everywhere. From phones and tablets, to PCs, costume parties to park attraction and now the game is available on Samsung’s ES-Series Smart TVs.
Utilizing Samsung’s Motion Control technology, you can play Angry Birds on the large TV screen for the first time ever in Full HD glory, for a maximized and interactive gaming experience. With just the wave of the hand, fans can control gameplay features including initiating the slingshot and activating the unique skills of each bird.
I had the pleasure of spending a night with the Samsung ES8000 Smart TV and the motion gestures to control basic functionalities of the TV was not as polished as the Microsoft Kinect. Now if you want to play Angry Birds with your arms, I would say prepare for a good arm exercise.
Angry Birds is the first Smart TV game developed to work with Motion Control and Samsung worked closely with Rovio to achieve this. The Angry Birds App for Samsung Smart TV will be available on Samsung 2012 Smart Interaction enabled models by updating the latest firmware and will include Video-on-Demand Angry Birds animations which will be available first on Samsung Smart TVs.
