Samsung has officially announced the latest tablet under its Galaxy Tab line and it’s called the Galaxy Tab3 Lite. We all remember of course the original Galaxy Tab which became so popular that almost everyone who was reluctant to spend that much on an iPad resorted to getting Sammy’s tablet instead. If my memory serves me right, the original Galaxy Tab also marked Samsung’s entry to the tablet market.
Anyway, what does the Galaxy Tab3 Lite has to offer? Don’t expect too much as I’m pretty sure that Samsung did not pack too much power in this tablet. The Galaxy Tab 3 Lite will still sport the same 7-inch display with 1024 x 600 resolution, a 1.2 GHz dual-core processor, 2MP rear camera, 1GB of RAM, 8GB of internal storage, microSD card slot and Android 4.2 Jelly Bean.
Nothing fancy under the hood, right? Well, at least according to Samsung, the Galaxy Tab3 Lite will be sporting a slim, light-weight design with a more compact bezel. Plus, it will be packing a 3600mAh battery which according to Samsung is good enough for up to eight hours of video viewing. Obviously, dear old Sammy wants to put this tablet up against the iPad Mini. As such, expect the Galaxy Tab3 Lite to bear a price tag that will be more affordable than Apple’s small iPad.
The Samsung Galaxy Tab3 Lite will be available in white and black models. Release date is unknown at this time. But, we all know that Samsung is capable of releasing such tablet as soon as possible. So don’t be surprise to find the Galaxy Tab3 Lite in your next trip to your favorite local gadget store.
