ASUS ROG Philippines is the first to announce the release of the 2021 gaming laptops with AMD Ryzen 9 5000 series and NVIDIA GeForce RTX 3000 series. Included in this year’s first batch of ROG computers are the ROG Strix Scar 15 and 17.

The esports favorites, the ROG Strix Scar 15 and Strix Scar 17 re returning better than ever.
The line features one of the world’s fastest laptop displays, with up to 300Hz refresh rate and 3ms response. These machines are driven by an AMD Ryzen 9 5900HX CPU and NVIDIA GeForce RTX 3080. There’s also a 32GB of RAM and 2TB of super-fast Raid 0 storage to work with the processors. With those specs, the ROG Strix Scar 15 and Strix Scar 17 promise the best performance, no compromises.
The new SCAR series comes with an impressive optical-mechanical keyboard, delivering both rapid response and high durability. The new optical-mechanical switches trigger uses a precise infrared laser beam. It eliminates the debounce delay and reduces the response time to only 0.2 milliseconds. This allows for better tactile feedback and faster response rate. The optical mechanism is also much more durable than conventional alternatives. It extends the switch’s lifetime to 100 million presses.
Moreover, the Strix Scar series has a whole new design. The aluminum lid is slashed with a shimmering dot matrix design created with precise electroplating. Customizable Armor Caps add a new level of personalization, allowing users to modify the chassis itself. The laptops come with Rubber Grey, Translucent Black, and Spangle Silver hinge caps that can be quickly swapped.
The revolutionary Keystone II drive returns with fan-favorite features. These include Shadow Drive, Cloud Profile syncing, and per-game profiles for Macros and RGB Lighting.
