As a Globe Prepaid subscriber, I used to ignore the text alerts from Globe about reward points I get from loading up. I ignore them because one, I didn’t know what to do with it and two, it used to take long before I can claim my rewards. The cycle went on ““ I earned points but unable to use them until they expire. What I used to do was to just transfer my points to my dad’s Globe number and he does the claiming of rewards.
Yesterday at the EDSA Shangri-la Hotel, in line with Globe’s effort of providing superior customer experience, they launched their newest rewards offer which makes it easier for prepaid and post-paid subscribers to redeem rewards.
Now, the Globe or TM rewards may be used as a form of payment in partner merchants and redemption may be done instantly. Now you can gas up, enjoy a cup of coffee, or watch movies using your rewards points!
Enchanted Kingdom, Petron, Ayala Cinemas, Figaro, Wendy’s Hamburgers, Sunglass Hut and Rose Pharmacy are among Globe’s recent addition to the their list of partner merchants and will be announcing more in the coming months. Unlike other rewards programs where you are only allowed to redeem the item that amounts to your points, Globe Rewards lets you get the item you want, deduct your available points and just settle the remaining balance.
With simple and straightforward conversion of 1 point = 1 peso, redemption of Globe Rewards is done by simply texting: BUY<space>MOBILE# OF MERCHNT<space>AMOUNT and send to 4438. You can get the merchant number from the cashier as you proceed with your transaction.
If you wish to check your current Globe Rewards points, simply text BAL or pool in points with family and friends to redeem bigger rewards by texting SHARE <space> 10-digit NUMBER of your friend <space> NUMBER of POINTS to 4438 for only P1 per transaction.
In the press launch, the big guys from Globe said the plan is to eventually extend their partnership to sari-sari stores so users can enjoy their desired retail items for instant gratification. One of Globe’s brand ambassadors, Bianca Gonzalez, showed several accounts of people who have been enjoying this new process of redeeming Globe Rewards.
