Yet another disruptor in the mid-range segment, the Realme X3 SuperZoom boasts quality processor, quad camera, and more.
Realme lovers in the Philippines have one good thing to get excited about this mid-year—the X3 SuperZoom launch on July 9.
Launched over the last two months in Europe and India, the X3 SuperZoom matches the Realme X3 in specs; it just differs in terms of camera function and memory variants. Gamer or not, one of the phone’s big selling points is its Qualcomm Snapdragon 855+ SoC, a flagship feature marketed at an affordable price point. Its quad-rear periscope camera is also admirable since it packs a 60X Super Zoom feature with f/1.8 lens, an 8MP ultra-wide shooter + 8MP telephoto periscope with 5x optical zoom, and a 2MP macro shooter with f/2.4 aperture. The phone’s rear camera is also built to support astro-photography with its Starry Mode option. As for its selfie game, the X3 Super Zoom features a 32MP primary sensor with f/2.5 lens and an 8MP shooter with ultra-wide (f/2.2 lens) capability.
Further banking on its flagship is when its octa-core Qualcomm Snapdragon 855+ SoC is paired with Adreno 640 GPU—specs much relied on not just by mobile gamers but workers who need a fast, quality smartphone that can handle heavy app usage and general operations. Storage-wise, the X3 SuperZoom packs an LPDDR4x RAM (improved power efficiency by 30%) in 8GB or 12GB paired with 128GB or 256GB storage. There’s no verdict yet which variant will be marketed in the PH so one will have to wait until the launch.
The Realme X3 SuperZoom also has a dedicated liquid cooling system and hi-res audio technologies to support intensive game-play. It runs on Android 10-based Realme UI that compliments its SuperZoom feature. Realme X3 and X3 SuperZoom have similarities in design including a 6.6-inch FHD+ display with 1080 x 2400 resolution and up to 120Hz panel–a fast refresh rate of 120 frames per second.
Its multi-layer finish comes in Arctic White and Glacier Blue. In addition, it supports dual-SIM (Nano) and has a side-mounted fingerprint sensor. Connectivity-wise, it features Wi-Fi 802.11ac, 4G, GPS/ A-GPS, and Bluetooth v5.0 with a USB Type-C port. The battery functions well on the heavy-duty side with its 4,200mAh power supporting 30W Dart Flash Charge.
Realme X3 Super Zoom gives a solid impression of being good steal for its powerful processing unit and quality camera built into a mid-range priced smartphone. No final word on its price yet, however, the 8GB + 128GB unit sells for INR 27,999 while the 12GB + 256GB variant is priced at INR 32,999 overseas so one will have to expect its PH value to be around the same range.
