Xiaomi has worked on the newest LineageOS 16 patch that would solve issues of the Pocophone F1 device. Problems like ghost touches and the smartphone’s failure to respond to multi-touch has been bugging users for a while now.
The patches are available OTA for MIUI 8.11.23 and has also come to the latest unofficial LineageOS 16 build. Also included is the support for the F1’s front IR camera, which will be helpful in face detection in low-light conditions. This would mean easier phone unlocking through Google Smart Lock in dimmer places.
Some problems are still yet to be fixed, though Xiaomi is clearly taking action, as can be seen by their public progress updates. Problems including the notch hindering users from seeing some PUBG contents has been coordinated with PUBG Mobile and is in the process of getting resolved. Solution for the device’s status bar concerns (no notifications and battery percentage display) is also in progress. Some issues are still under consideration (Widevine L1 support and 4k 60fps video for back camera). Lastly, Gamers who are experiencing audio issues while playing PUBG are advised to wait for the next update.
The Pocophone F1 is packed with a Qualcomm Snapdragon 845 and a powerful 4,000mAh battery with LiquidCool cooling system. The device is available in the Philippines for Php 17,999.00
