Top e-sports teams in South East Asia (SEA) are set to compete for over Php 1 million in the Mineski Pro-Gaming League SEA Grand Finals (MPGL SEA Grand Finals) on November 29 and 30 at the SM North Edsa Skydome and Cyberzone.
The event will have the biggest prize pool in Philippine Dota 2 history, according to Mineski-Events Team, a premier electronic sports event organizer in the Philippines.
The Php 1 million ($22,200) prize pool continues to increase through community contributions such as in-game purchases, Mineski Infinity cybercafé promos, online donations, and revenues from the Secretshop.ph online store.
Fighting eSports teams in the 6th season of the MPGL SEA Grand Finals are Indonesia, Malaysia, Myanmar, Singapore, Thailand, and open qualifiers Australia, India, Japan, and Korea.
“The Mineski Pro-Gaming League SEA Grand Finals will let us all show the world that we Filipinos can also produce an international electronic sports event,” said Mineski CEO and founder Ronald Robins.
Sponsors of the 6th MPGL SEA Grand Finals are computer hardware and accessories firms Gigabyte, SteelSeries, and ViewSonic.
