As we inch closer to the launch of Samsung new flagship smartphones, more and more leaks are surfacing on the web, giving us a glimpse of what to expect from the Galaxy S7 and its curved-display sibling, the Galaxy S7 Edge.
The latest leaks that have made its way to the internet are the alleged photos of both the Galaxy S7 and the Galaxy S7 Edge which came from different sources.
The first one (shown above) came from ReviewDao.vn which shows the curved-glass posterior of the S7. Another thing that caught our attention is the protrusion of the S7’s rear camera, which appears to be lesser compared to the previous model.
The other leaked photo came from a Weibo user which supposedly shows the front of the Galaxy S7 Edge, its model number (SM-G9350), as well as the benchmark score it got when the photo was taken.
Specifications of both the Galaxy S7 and Galaxy S7 Edge that were rumored in the past include a supposedly new octa-core processor (Exynos 8 Octa 889), 4GB of RAM, a rear camera with lower resolution (12-megapixel) and a slightly bigger battery pack (3000mah) to address the power consumption that plagued the previous models. There were also reports that the MicroSD card slot and water resistance would make its return on the upcoming smartphones.
Samsung is scheduled to launch its new smartphones on February 21, a day before this year’s Mobile World Congress.
