Philppine-based optimal payroll software Salarium bested 19 other startups in the Seedstars Manila, which is the Filipino round of Seedstars World (SSW) 2014 “” a global startup competition for emerging markets and fast-growing startup scenes.
Held at the Microsoft Philippines in Makati City, all 20 startups engaged in a pitching battle with a time limit of six minutes and were tried to withstand questions from a local jury of experts including a Seedstars World representative.
As a regional winner, Salarium will be invited to Geneva in February and will get a chance to pitch for an equity investment of up to USD500,000 competing with all the other regional winners globally as part of Seedstars World Final Event.
Based in Geneva, Switzerland and founded by Alisee de Tonnac and Pierre-Alain Masson, the competition is supported by the venture builder Seedstars SA.
After its first successful edition in 2013 across 20 cities, SSW expanded its competition massively to more than 30 countries.

The next stop of the tour is Seedstars Kuala Lumpur on September 9. It continues on to Singapore, Jakarta, Shanghai, Sydney, Mexico City, BogotaÌ, Lima, Santiago, Buenos Aires and Sao Paulo.
