The OPPO Reno4 is the latest addition to OPPO‘s flagship Reno smartphone series. Launched last August, the Reno4 arrives with a Snapdragon 720G processor, 48MP quad rear camera, and a massive 6.4-inch AMOLED display.
Here’s a closer look at the all-new OPPO Reno4 smartphone. Read on to know more.
Design & Construction
A massive AMOLED display greets you in front of the Reno4 device. There’s an oval-shaped punch-hole at the upper left corner, which houses the dual front shooter of the device. Slim bezels surround the screen from all sides–except for the one at the bottom, which appears to be twice in thickness as the rest. The metal frame around the device gives it a premium look and feel.
The volume rocker and SIM/SD card slot sit on the left side of the phone. Meanwhile, the power/lock button is located on the right. The placement of the buttons makes it easy to reach for users. At the bottom are the loudspeaker, USB C port for charging/connectivity, and main microphone. OPPO also kept the 3.5mm audio port for wired headphone use.
Flip to the rear part and the quad rear camera setup greets you from the upper left corner. Three of the four camera modules are aligned vertically, while the fourth lens and the LED flash–smaller in sizes–sit beside them. Based on the new “Reno Glow,” design, this OPPO model comes in Galactic Blue and Space Black colorways.
Display & Multimedia
The 6.4-inch Full HD+ screen uses an AMOLED panel. It offers a 2400 x 1080 resolution and 409ppi pixel density. To complement the beautiful display, this phone boasts a Dolby Atmos audio system.
OPPO equipped the Reno4 with an in-display fingerprint scanner, ensuring uninterrupted and massive screen real estate. This model also runs the clean and intuitive ColroOS 7.2 mobile operating system, which is based on Android 10. It offers features such as Smart AirControl Gesture controls, Smart Always-On display, and Smart Spying Prevention.
Camera
The Reno4 boasts four cameras on the rear. It has a 48-megapixel Sony IMX 586 for its primary sensor, which offers F1.7 aperture. The other three cameras are an 8MP F2.2 ultra-wide lens; a 2MP F2.4 macro shooter; and a 2MP F2.4 mono sensor.
The dual front snapper uses a Sony IMX616 main lens with 32 megapixels and F2.4 aperture. The secondary camera is an AI-enhanced Smart Sensor.
Performance
Under the hood, the OPPO Reno4 comes powered by an up to 2.3GHz octa-core Qualcomm Snapdragon 720G processor. The processor works with the Adreno 618 GPU to ensure seamless performance. Moreover, the Reno4 arrives with a huge 8GB LPDDR4X RAM. The 128GB built-in storage is huge enough, but it can still be expanded up to 256GB via microSD card.
For connectivity, this device is 4G/LTE-ready and has Wi-Fi, Bluetooth, and GPS. The 4015mAh battery provides all-day power. It also features VOOC 4.0 30W fast-charging support.
